Morven
Morven is a distinctive cheese that is mild, slightly sweet with a springy texture.
It is easy on the palette but full of subtle flavours very popular with young
children. Some of our Morven is left to ripen naturally, some is waxed.
Morven (Gaelic for a 'great mountain’) is the name of one of our local ‘Corbetts’
which are hills between 2000 and 3000 feet high. In 1859 it was climbed by
Queen Victoria who described the view from it as "more magnificent than can
be described" - hopefully our cheese will live up to this description too!
